About Miche Tetley

BA(Hons) Psych, MBACP Accred, Registered Member MBACP

My name is Miche and I'm a Psychotherapist & Counsellor working in private practice in East Grinstead, and an Eco-Therapist offering Nature Therapy on land near Sheffield Park.  I also offer Skype and phone counselling.

I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I am fully insured and in regular clinical supervision.

Training & Experience

I trained in psychotherapy and counselling at Spectrum , which is accredited by the UKCP.  This training built on my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Neurophysiology which I studied for at Oxford University.  I have also trained extensively with the Human Awareness Institute (HAI-UK) in the areas of relationship, intimacy and sexuality, which equipped me with a range of tools and skills to aid people to improve their communication and relationships.

My knowledge and working practices are regularly updated through a range of continued professional development opportunities.  I am particularly interested in:  anxiety and panic, bereavement and loss, the transition to motherhood/parenthood, menopause, chronic illness, spirit and creativity, nature connection, empowerment and the intersection between counselling and holistic healing methods.

In terms of client groups, I have worked in the fields of learning disabilities and mental health as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist.  I provided advice and counselling to young people with acute and complex needs for the Connexions service and worked with the families of children in Care.

I have been working in private practice as a psychotherapist and counsellor since 2007, seeing a huge variety of different people, and working with them on a range of issues.

I have also run groups for mothers under the banner of ‘The Mothers Fire’ and can offer sessions for new mothers along with their babies.
